ASICLAND (445090, CEO Lee Jong-min), a leading provider of ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) design solutions, announced that Executive Vice President Chang Jang-eun received the award at the 17th Annual Semiconductor Day Ceremony held at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas on the 23rd.
Semiconductor Day, established in 2008, celebrates the achievements of South Korea’s semiconductor industry, a key driver of exports and economic growth. This year marks the 17th iteration of the event, which aims to bolster the industry’s morale and reaffirm its commitment to advancing the sector.
As head of ASICLAND’s System-on-Chip (SoC) Division, Executive Vice President Chang Jang-eun led the development of next-generation AI acceleration chips, including the Tachy-BS3 for edge applications and the X220 for server applications, significantly contributing to the advancement of South Korea’s semiconductor industry.
ASICLAND, a dedicated custom ASIC design and manufacturing house, is the exclusive domestic VCA (Value Chain Alliance) for TSMC. With an advanced R&D center in Hsinchu, Taiwan, ASICLAND is focused on acquiring 3nm and 5nm design technology, as well as CoWos (Chip-on-Wafer-on-Substrate) packaging technology. Through the acquisition of top talent and expansion of its infrastructure, the company aims to strengthen its competitive edge not only in South Korea but also in the global semiconductor market, with active expansion plans for the U.S. and Asia.
